    Injuries injuries injuries

The defending NFC champion Chicago Bears have lost two defensive starters, free safety Mike Brown and nose tackle Dusty Dvoracek, to season-ending knee injuries sustained in the team's opening-day defeat at San Diego on Sunday afternoon.

St. Louis Rams offensive tackle Orlando Pace tore the labrum and rotator cuff in his right shoulder in the season opener Sunday and will be sidelined for the rest of the season.

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has a slightly separated shoulder which is expected to keep him out at least a month, sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen on Monday.

    And of course the worst

The Buffalo Bills' Kevin Everett sustained a "catastrophic" and life-threatening spinal-cord injury and his chances of regaining a full range of body motion are very small, an orthopedic surgeon said Monday.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

Brown and Dvoracek made a huge difference in the run defense. The bears will be forced to put Darwin Walker at Dvoracks position. Hes more of a pass rusher but probably wont be nearly as stout against the run as Dusty.

Mike Brown should just retire, one ACL tear, one torn ligament in his foot and a ruptured achillies the last 4 seasons, I give up.

Brown has had some horrible luck.

That sucks for Everett. I hope things end up turning out a littel better although the chances are probably slim.

KE will always be remembered for that god awful play against VT where he dropped the fake field goal. Sadly though, he was a physical freak that could have been a decent nfl tight end eventually. He tore his acl in minicamp before he ever signed his contract his rookie season. What terrible luck the fella always had.
